Cauliflower Steak & Mash!

 

Ingredients

1 Cauliflower Head
1 Tablespoon Tikka Masala
2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
2 Tablespoon Sweet Chilli Sauce
1 Tablespoon Soya Sauce
½ Teaspoon Chilli Powder (optional)
½ Teaspoon Turmeric
*The spices and sauce quantities can be up to you. Add whatever you would if you were making braai basting :)

 

Method:

1. Cut the cauliflower head into slices, then leave aside.
 
2. To a bowl, add the sauces and spices and mix thoroughly.
 
3. Rub the combined sauce onto both sides of the cauliflower slices.
 
4. Place on baking tray, and bake on 180 DegC for 20-30 minutes until it starts to crisp. 
 
5. Mash Potatoes: Peel and boil desired quantity of potatoes until soft. Add milk (or cream), butter, salt and pepper and mash until creamy.  Optional: add crushed garlic to the mashed potatoes for an extra garlic taste!
