Growing up, there was always one consistency to everything I’ve done - and that was to be simple. Simple in the quantity of clothing and the type of technology I owned, simple in the foods I ate; and as I grew older, simplicity in the way I lived.

A Simple Life was created to share that energy with the world. From lifestyle, to foods, holistic well-being, planning and living life one day at a time.

It’s how One Day at a Time was born. As a lover of stationery, I struggled to find planners and diaries that worked for me throughout school, university and in a corporate role. So I decided to create my own range. A range that emphasises my go to philosophy to have big goals and dreams, but to take things one day at a time. Because life is too precious to not.

Hayaat Basita is arabic for “simple life”. Since arabic is the origin language of my religion, it felt only fitting to embrace the name of my company in it’s oldest and simplest form.
